(03/19/10) Rebel Without a Cause

Back again with another film. This week: James Dean in "Rebel Without a Cause"(1955). First of all, let me say that Tommy Wiseau did a poor job of paying tribute to James Dean's "YOU'RE TEARING ME APART!" said inside the first 10-15 minutes of this film.

Second of all,

And third of all, I would have to say that the only rebel without
a cause in this film would have to be
our boy Buzz here:
Buzz is just picking fights left, right, and center with my boy Jim Stark(James Dean) and with no reason for it. Jim has a cause: to save Plato. And to get his father
Frank Stark:
to man-up and start taking charge around the house.
Plato has a cause: to gain acceptance and find some sort of family to belong to.

"Rebel Without a Cause" features grand acting performances by James Dean, Ann Dolan, Sal Mineo, Jim Backus, Natalie Wood, and Dennis Hopper as "Goon". It's a film well deserving of its standings amongst the greatest films of all time. Now seriously, if you can't get credit in my store, you can't get it anywhere. My name is Mark Norton and you can count on it.
