(09/15/10) A Streetcar Named Desire

"A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951) directed by Elia Kazan. The film hold's one of two of the most identified scenes when one hears the name Marlon Brando:

..as well as the second performance that I have ever seen in my years of film viewing by the actress Vivien Leigh. The first was "Gone With The Wind". She has had a successful and engaging career, so it is my fault for having seen her in only two films. "A Streetcar Named Desire" brings up everything that a marriage shouldn't be, yet at the same time, brings the audience (at least it brought me) over to the side of Stanley Kowalski (Marlon Brando) who has seen his marriage fall apart since the arrival of Stella's sister Blanche.
