(10/27/10) Night of the Living Dead

It was my first time reading "Night of the Living Dead". And what was best about the film was not the cinematography or the concept behind it all, it was the controversial ending. Do not read on if you haven't seen this film. For those of you who continue to read, the ending presents a strong criticism of America in it's day. The film alleges that white man would shoot a black man who'd survived through such a night simply because he is black. It alleges that with American society at the time, racism would survive even when things were either the survivors or the dead. And I agree with the filmmakers who made "Night of the Living Dead". What a controversial and insightful ending.
